Exam settings stay in the browser

The latest exam settings are saved in local storage on your device where the browser permits it. These include the schedule, title, room, timezone and display preferences. They are used to restore the configuration and display without an account.

The display URL also contains these settings. URLs can appear in browser history, copied links and requests to the hosting provider. Do not enter candidate names, accommodations or other sensitive information. We do not maintain a database of exam presets.

Files for offline use

A service worker stores the core pages, scripts, styles and icons in the browser’s cache. This makes offline loading possible after successful preparation. Clearing site data removes offline files and may remove saved settings and analytics preferences. Your browser controls how long this storage remains available.

Language suggestions and temporary drafts

Accepting or dismissing a language suggestion, or manually switching language, saves a local flag so the suggestion is not repeated. The URL determines the language; the site does not redirect automatically.

When switching language from a configuration page, the form draft is temporarily saved in this tab’s session storage to restore unsubmitted changes on the destination page. It is removed when read; drafts older than five minutes are not restored. It does not replace the saved exam and is not sent to analytics services.

Optional analytics on ordinary pages

When configured by the site operator, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures ordinary page visits and performance. The site omits its beacon on parameter-bearing edit links and never includes it in Display Mode. Hosting infrastructure may process request metadata separately from browser analytics.

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept optional analytics on an ordinary page. It can measure page visits, starting a display, installation intent and installation events where the browser exposes them. Accepted analytics also uses a local flag to distinguish a repeated launch in the same browser. That does not identify a school or connect different devices.

Analytics events exclude exam titles, room labels and URL query strings. External referring addresses are reduced to their origin. The integration disables Google advertising signals and does not create a fingerprint. Google Analytics may use its own identifiers after consent; browser blocking and withheld consent make usage reports incomplete.

Choose or withdraw analytics

If Google Analytics is configured, use Analytics preferences in the footer to accept or reject it. You can use the clock without accepting. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics from this integration, removes its local repeat-use flag and attempts to clear its Google Analytics cookies on this domain. It does not delete historical data already held by the analytics provider.

No third-party analytics scripts, consent prompts or advertisements run in Display Mode. Analytics failures never determine whether an exam can start, and offline operation does not require a reporting service.

Your device, your controls

Use your browser’s site-data controls to remove local settings, cached files and consent choices. Reopen the site online and repeat the offline preparation check afterwards. If this computer is shared, review the restored exam before use and clear sensitive details before handing the device over.

The project does not currently provide user accounts, cloud-saved exams or remote room management. If those capabilities are introduced, their data handling will need to be documented before they are enabled.
